Bill and Cheryl Gray are appointed U.S. missionaries with the Assemblies of God to establish a church in the inner city of Mobile, Alabama. Bill, a former banker, accepted Jesus in 1986 and three years later, began ministering in the Josephine Allen Community (Happy Hills), one of the most violent and drug infested neighborhoods of Mobile. He used Sidewalk Sunday Schools to reach the children of this area.

In 1991, Bill married Cheryl Goodman witnessed by their Sunday School kids in an outdoor service in the community in which they worked, . Cheryl transferred from the Foreign Mission Field as a missionary to Paraguay, South American, and the two of them became U.S. Missionaries

The Grays acquired land and in 1995 built a 16,800 square foot ministry facility to conduct worship services, Sunday Schools, discipleship classes, and recreation. They work hands-on with children and their families who are caught in the hopelessness of poverty, drugs, alcohol, and other life controlling problems. They have raised up children from the projects in a leadership program to serve others. One of the youth leaders, Cedrick Valrie is 21 years old and has begin his senior year at Southeastern College in Lakeland, Florida. Cedrick is already a certified minister and plans to enter full time ministry. This type of conversion is a fulfillment of a dream that Bill and Cheryl have to see young people in positions of ministry.

Bill and Cheryl's latest ministry motivates our youth to reach for new horizons by introducing them to aviation. In 2007, the Adopt A Plane ministry was started with the purchase of a Cessna four seat airplane, tail number N65172. This ministry offers inner-city children and youth a chance to experience aviation first hand and the magic of flight. For more information on the Adopt A Plane ministry please visit www.adoptaplane.org

Cheryl has written a book, Extreme Passion, about Pastor Bill's life, conversion and transition into ministry. They plan to use this book as a tool to equip the lay people in the Body of Christ encouraging them to fulfill their God given purposes. The object lesson of Bill's life will encourage and challenge an average church attendee to stand with their pastor in the variety of ministry opportunities where God is calling them. It is Bill and Cheryl's passion to help believers develop their gifts and talents and be the positive influence in the communities where they live.

Bill and Cheryl remain as missionaries and "parents" to many young people who lack godly role models.
